How to avoid getting Dysentery and Gasto-Intestinal Infections
I have treated many patients with dysentery from just about every bug under the sun and I have found that the number one, most important advice I can give is this — DO NOT EAT SALADS OR ANYTHING NOT HOT IN RESTARAUNTS. This unfortunately includes salsas, which often sit out for days. I have found that about 90% of the dysentery patients I have treated have gotten sick this way. It does not matter how fancy the restaurant is, or how many foreigners are eating there, or how many times you have eaten there before. The bottom line is that anything that is not hot must be disinfected for at least 15 minutes to kill all the microbes and the restaurants very often do not have time to wait with a full house during la hora de comida. Many restaurants do take the time to disinfect well, but if there is a new cook on the day you happen to eat there, you could still be unlucky. It is best to peel or disinfect anything you plan to eat raw with your own washed hands.
Another way that several of my patients have gotten parasites is through the medium of another animal, usually a dog. Make sure that you have your dogs de-wormed regularly and that you wash your hands well after touching any dog even if no saliva is involved. Parasites can be transferred through the fleas in dog's coats as well. Do not allow your dogs to sleep in your bed, no matter how cuddly and cute they are!
Most of you are all well acquainted with all of the other basics of eating and drinking in Mexico:
- Drink only bottled or purified water
- Make sure any ice in drinks has a hole running through it
- Do not chance it with street food or hole-in-the-wall restaurants
- Brush your teeth and disinfect raw fruits and veggies only with drinkable water
- If someone in the family has parasites, treat the whole family
Due to the frequency of acute G.I. microbial infections in San Miguel and the fact that I am only there 5 days a month, I have created a series of herbal formulas specifically for each of the three most common causes of dysentery and GI infections — amoebas, parasites, and bacteria. I have designed these formulas to work as well, or better than, allopathic drugs, without the side effect of eliminating the good bacterial intestinal flora and leaving one vulnerable to repeated infections.
There are two formulas for each of the three types of microbes, each one to be taken at high dosage for 7 days, for a total of 2 weeks, to sufficiently eliminate the infection. The formulas are:
- Anti-Amoebic Formula #1 and #2 — effective against entamoeba hystolytica, giardia, blastocystis hominis, cryptosporidium, and other protazoa.
- Anti-Parasitic Formula #1 and #2 — effective against tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, pinworms, whipworms, schistosoma, and flukes.
- Broad Spectrum Antibiotic Formula — effective against escheria coli salmonella typhi, salmonella enteridis, shigella, bacillus dysenteriae, and other types of bacteria that cause dysentery.
If you start having symptoms of a GI-bug, like foul gas, bloating, loose stool, abdominal discomfort, etc. you can have a stool analysis to determine what microbe is causing the dysentery. Then you can purchase the appropriate formula combination from Life Path and take it at the suggested dosage or contact me to find out which formula to take.
I hope in this way that I can provide an effective, non-toxic method of treating acute infectious dysentery for the San Miguel community.
All the best,
